Liquore Da Dessert
A big, bold and yellow advertising poster; showing off the drinking skills of a monkey for this after dinner dessert liquor. This is a personification, given that the monkey is drinking liquor to become intoxicated; a metaphor, replacing the idea of dessert with alcohol; a hyperbole, an exaggeration of the drunken state of the animal to show emphasis.

George Lois + Rhetorical Tropes
George Lois rarely misses with his patented one-two knockout combination of a strong image and a clever tagline. I've compiled a cursory case-study of his work that utilizes rhetorical devices to maximum effect. I'll have his book, "The Art of Advertising: George Lois on Mass Communication" in studio for the duration of this project, and encourage anyone to flip through this crucial compendium.
